Owner/Operator Christian Elwell - Boralis Outdoor Adventures
Christian Elwell, owner of Borealis Outdoor Adventures,
has been guiding and outfitting in Alaska for the past eleven years. His
work has taken him from the Bering Sea to the Arctic Ocean and through most
major mountain ranges and rivers in between.
It was Christian's passion for wild places that led to the formation of Borealis Outdoor Adventures, where he could combine his appreciation of the outdoors with sharing that experience with others. It is his attention to detail and knowledge of wild places that have earned him his reputation.
Christian is an enthusiastic and inventive chef with extensive culinary training who produces some pretty impressive meals on the river. He loves to cook and to bring a little luxury/gourmet element to your adventure trip. People seem to really enjoy the meals and that is very rewarding for Christian.
There is no way you can duplicate the experience of living on the river. No lodge, no matter how remote, can bring you that close to nature. And yet, Christian likes to think he has the best of both worlds out in the Alaska wilderness, like only Alaska does it, combined with a comfortable camp, great food each night and the camaraderie of the group.
Christian also holds a degree in Plant Science from Cornell University and when not involved with fishing and hunting in the Northern regions, works in Central A
